Complaints

What do you complain about the most?

I could list my pet peeves but I hesitate to reveal too much of myself in the process. Or is it really to do with offending others? Then again, what does it hurt to come clean once in a while. But why complain at all? Better to take action. Besides, people have enough problems then to hear about mine. I’d like to think I’ve matured and become more tolerant, that one day I will shed my former intolerant self and become truly enlightened. But maybe I’m dreaming (probably). Oh, I have my complaints and they are many – thieving, blackmailing, torturing, embezzling, laundering, deceiving, stampeding, poisoning, cannibalism, nihilism, cultism, sadism, pessimism, extortion, perversion, intoxication, brutalism, contamination, algorithms, death by asphyxiation, telemarketing, trafficking, shop lifting, parole violating, pyramid selling, stalking, forging, roadkill collecting, racketeering, mobile throwing, all forms of provoking..

  1. Our society discusses “tolerance” as the ultimate value, but has redefined that term to mean agreement w/ any number of evils as if they were acceptable.

Even silence in the face of these evils is not considered sufficient compliance w/ what have become societal norms. Approval is labeled enlightenment. And non-compliance (labeled “intolerance” to heighten the negative implication) is, itself, viewed as evil. Thus, a nominally liberal society is actually enforcing strict conformance.

Tolerance originally allowed for vigorous dialog for those w/ differing opinions. Debate sometimes offended people. It, also, educated them, and changed minds, as a result.

We could agree to disagree, in large part because not everything was a matter of opinion. There was, once upon a time, an acknowledgment of objective good and evil. Now good and evil are in the eye of the beholder. That deprives anyone from objecting to another’s values. That, for instance, allows child molesters to claim sex w/ children is normal, even “good” for children — in the process, destroying lives.

Morality is grounded in the law of God. We have turned our backs on that, sure that we can find our way. The consequences will be dire. They are already making themselves known.

    1. Thank you Anna for your valuable thoughts
Yes, society has become strange and destructive
I have certainly noticed this over last 30 odd years
Political ‘double speak’ and cult ideology via social media hasn’t helped
Perhaps things will change for the better 😧
